On June 13–14, 2015, the Wetlands Initiative held its first-ever BioBlitz at the Dixon Waterfowl Refuge at Hennepin & Hopper Lakes. Over a 24-hour period, more than 30 scientists and experts led members of the public in searching the 3,000-acre restoration site for plants, birds, amphibians and reptiles, insects, fish, and more. Below are the lists of species identified, organized by organism group. (All photos except muskrat taken by participants during the BioBlitz.)
If you see any species missing from the lists that you observed during the BioBlitz, email Vera at email@example.com to get it added.
Total species recorded: 675
* Some specimens are still being identified by entomologists.
