Volunteer

Volunteers are always welcome. We have a small but growing number of volunteers who are making a significant contribution by harvesting prairie seed, pulling garlic mustard, and planting new plants.

We host seasonal volunteer events, including spring garlic mustard removal, summer plug planting, and fall seed collecting. If you are interested in participating in any of these, please watch our News and Events page for details or sign up for our enewsletter. You can also email us here to let us know of your interest and inquire about the latest opportunities.

At Midewin National Tallgrass Prairie, we host an annual Corporate Volunteer Work Day every June. Bring your team out for a day in the prairie to plant plugs and get your hands dirty! Click here to watch a 2010 video of Tellabs employees volunteering at Midewin.
