Volunteer Plug Planting at MLK South Wetland

Join the Wetlands Initiative and partners for a volunteer seedling planting event at MLK South Wetland in Gary, Indiana. This event is hosted by the Little Calumet River Conservation Collaborative, a coalition working to improve and restore wetland habitat in Northwest Indiana.

Gloves, tools, water, sunscreen, bug spray and snacks will be provided. There will be port-a-johns available on site.

Parking is available along the levee off of Georgia Street (see map).
