Volunteer Plug Planting at the Dixon Waterfowl Refuge

  • Sue and Wes Dixon Waterfowl Refuge (map)

Join us at the Dixon Waterfowl Refuge’s beautiful Sandy Hollow tract, where we will be planting native milkweed plugs (seedlings) to contribute to the site’s ongoing restoration. The event will take place from 9:00am to 12:00pm.

Snacks, water, tools, and gloves will be provided, though if you have your own gloves we encourage you to bring them. Please wear appropriate clothing for fieldwork (e.g., long pants, closed-toe shoes). Children 16 years old or younger must be accompanied by a parent or other chaperone.

Meet at the Sandy Hollow parking lot on the south end of the Refuge. Click here for a map of the Refuge that shows the different entrances.

Please email us at twi@wetlands-initiative.org if you plan to attend. We hope to see you there!
